Humpback Grouper or Indonesian will be familiar with Kerapu Tikus (Cromileptes altivelis) is a type of fish from the Serranidae family found in Australia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, New Caledonia, Northern Mariana Islands, Papua Niugini, Philippines, Island Pitcairn, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and maybe in Mozambique and in Vanuatu. Its natural habitat is in coral beach lagoon. This type is threatened with the loss of its habitat.

Groupers generally have high economic value and good market interest especially in Asian countries including southern China, ASEAN countries, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
